Maps for places, ideas, and everything in between.

The Mapping Studio is a local design studio creating maps, posters, atlases, and other wonderfully unnecessary (or surprisingly useful)  things that involve maps.

We work across cartography, graphic design, data, and storytelling, turning information into maps that are beautiful, curious, and sometimes a little unexpected.

Our idea is simple: map the things that seem too small, too futile, or too useless to deserve a map. A forgotten creek, a row of cherry trees, a shoreline that moved a century ago. These are the details most of us walk past every day, yet they carry the beauty, history, and culture of the place we live in.

By drawing them out and giving them space on the page, we hope to help people slow down, look again, and see the city they thought they knew a little differently.
